Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ACENLY ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit acenly.com or purchase our software.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
1. Data we collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate our website and process purchases:
- Email address — when you join our early-access list, contact us, or complete a purchase.
- Purchase information — handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor). We receive a record of your purchase and your email address so we can deliver your license. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Website analytics — we do not use any third-party analytics tools.
ACENLY software itself collects no data from your machine. The tool runs entirely locally. No code, no benchmark results, no usage data, and no telemetry are sent to our servers or any third party.
2. How we use your data
- To deliver your software license and access instructions after purchase.
- To send you important updates about the product (new versions, security notices). You can opt out at any time.
- To respond to support requests and enquiries.
- To notify early-access subscribers when paid access is available.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Contract performance — processing your purchase and delivering your license (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Legitimate interests — sending transactional and product-related emails (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Consent — for optional marketing communications, where we ask separately (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Third-party services
Lemon Squeezy — our payment processor and merchant of record. When you purchase ACENLY, your transaction is processed by Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company). They act as the seller of record and handle payment data, VAT, and invoicing independently. Their privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
We do not use any other third-party data processors.
5. Data retention
We retain your email address and purchase record for as long as necessary to support your license and meet legal obligations (typically up to 7 years for financial records). You can request deletion at any time for data beyond what is legally required.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (where not required by law).
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time for consent-based processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
Our website uses only essential browser storage required for basic functionality (e.g. remembering your light/dark mode preference via localStorage). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
8. Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal data. Payment data is never stored on our servers — it is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under PCI-DSS compliance.
9. International transfers
Lemon Squeezy may process data outside the EEA. They operate under appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR. We do not independently transfer your personal data outside the EEA.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be notified by email to existing customers or posted prominently on this page. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
